Cornelius “Neil” Dowdell

As the founder of The Nelius Strategy and Nelius Spices, Cornelius “Neil” Dowdell is a highly sought-after business development strategist providing direction in the areas of leadership and process development, career progression, and business process optimization.

Cornelius has managed education and learning for institutions and collaborates with Fortune 500 companies over the past decade. In addition, he has more than 15 years of experience in leadership and managerial roles, encompassing operational and program management teams, human resources, corporate learning and career planning. Cornelius is renowned for his ability to develop potential leaders, streamline operational processes and create value within organizations. He believes that every individual has inspired strengths and gifts that we should maximize in our life’s work.

Before following his passion of sharing his consulting gifts on a more global scale, Cornelius held influential roles at CGI Federal, Louisiana State University and Emory University. His work encompassed partnering with key learning officers and human resource teams in the development of High Potential Leadership Development Programs, integrating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and establishing Corporate Branding standards.

It is the success of his work that he formed The Nelius Strategy LLC to create a better future for his clients and fruitful partnerships that make a positive impact in the world. Cornelius has made it a priority to align all programs with the organization’s business goals and strategies. To do so, he and his staff provide a full range of business development and strategies that go beyond traditional methods and former best-practices.

Cornelius earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Capella University. He is certified in Problem Solving, Leadership and Management Development, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Leadership and Management Curriculum.

To further benefit his community and share his gifts, Cornelius is involved in numerous professional and non-profit organizations, serving in the Association of Talent Development (ATD), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Project Management Institute (PMI).
